September 11, 2001, is the day we can never forget. Thousands of people died and sacrificed for the lives of others. Thus, every year it is essential to see it like a Patriot Day and fly the 911 Never Forget flag to commemorate the deceased. We hope our flag designs remind people of that tragic day and tell the young generation about what the Americans had to go through.
Some of our 911 flags are made to honor, while others are made to go through deep remembrance. Regardless of what flag you choose from ours, it would mean a world to the families and friends whose loved ones laid their lives in the twin towers.
Now, have a look at what we offer and take note of several things before flying your commemorative flags!
Types of 9 11 Never Forget Flag In Our Store
Flags To Honor Those Who Sacrificed
Remembering those who gave their lives for others on September 11 is significant. Their bravery, courage, and sacrifice will last forever in American hearts. Beyond that, their names and roles will be remembered and repeated until the end of time.
With that in mind, we build many of our flag designs to honor those American heroes, especially our 9/11 first responders. They could be a firefighter, police officer, military soldier, or just a regular civilian who decided to sacrifice. Whoever they were, they are the most extraordinary things that ever happened to America. And hence, we, as the survivors, are here to speak their names and sacred dedication!
Flags For Deep Commemoration
Showing your care should not be limited to those rescuers during the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The tragedy had a profound impact on our society, and we want to make sure your patriotism is always front and center.
If you’re going to fly a 9 11 Never Forget flag to remember your deceased loved one, make sure it shows the images or quotes that would remind you of them in peace.
Flags For Those Who Carry On Without Their Loved Ones
Other flags have been created with a special focus on those who’ve lost someone in 9/11. These flags can serve as an important reminder that there are still loved ones being missed and honored every day. Though, they show one more important thing — that how much painful those survivors have had to suffer.
Despite the fact that we can not erase the sorrow in those losing someone they love, we always want to create something that heals. And we do hope by a 9 11 flag-raising, we could make them feel comforted.
Take Note of These Things Before Displaying Your 911 Flags
When To Display Never Forget Flag
A 9/11 Never Forget flag will only be appropriate on certain days of remembrance. This includes dates:
- Patriot Day (September 11)
- Memorial Day (May 30)
- Veterans Day (November 11)
Keep in mind that these flags are also used as a symbol of support. Displaying one on days other than those mentioned above may not always be appropriate or appreciated. If you choose to raise your 9 11 Never Forget flag on different days, make sure you do so with proper respect and discretion to avoid causing offense or controversy.
How To Display a 911 Flag At Home
9/11 flags are commonly hung outside of homes and businesses as a memorial tribute to America’s fallen heroes. However, many other ways exist to express your patriotism in times of remembrance. Let’s discover what way that possibly works for you and how to do it properly.
Hang it on a wall
Regardless of where the wall is (inside or outside your house), ensure that you hang your flags in a prominent position. That means you should put them at a spot that is illuminated enough and good for them to last longer. Do not put them outdoors under bad weather, especially if they are made of cotton.
In addition, choose tools to hang your flags wisely; think of using them for years, not for months! Some of those tools may seriously harm your flags even though you thought they were fine initially.
Our recommendation is:
- Firstly, find a pole that fits correctly into the side of the flag that you decide to be on top
- Secondly, attach a rope to both ends of the pole
- Lastly, create a hook on the wall to hang the rope on
Fly them with a flagpole on your porch
You can also fly the 911 remembrance flag with a flagpole. We recommended attaching the flagpole to a wall on your patio. That spot will give the best display for any flag intended to send out a message. When the sun goes down, ensure there is still enough light focusing on the flag. If not, take it down and wait for the next morning to put it up again.
Hang them down from the eaves
While we often recommend that you raise your flag on a staff, there’s also another exciting option that many don’t even know about. You can display your 911 flag from above by hanging it down from your eaves.
This creates an interesting effect with various implications—but it’s totally up to you how you interpret things and whether or not you want to do it at all. If you have eave space but aren’t sure if a 911 flag will fit, measure to make sure beforehand so as not to waste time or disappoint yourself in any way if things don’t work out as expected.
If yours is a garden flag, don’t display it in dirty places
These flags are made for commemoration purposes, so you need to ensure that they always look clean. Also, because garden flags are meant to be placed in bush and plants and might get dirty quickly, keeping them clean can help them last longer!
On Patriot Day, flying a 9-11 Never Forget flag is an act of remembrance for the fallen soldiers in the twin towers. At the same time, it provides us with a day, and possibly years, to remember those who died on that fateful day. Therefore, the 9/11 flag must convey the appropriate meanings through its design.
